ABOUT MILAD KHAJOUEI NEZHAD

With dual Master’s degrees in Wood Science (UBC) and Materials Science and Engineering (Shiraz University), I bring a unique blend of deep technical knowledge and hands-on industrial experience to the manufacturing sector. Currently a Process Specialist at Tolko Industries, I specialize in driving process optimization and continuous improvement. My focus is on implementing data-driven solutions that boost throughput, reduce waste, and enhance product consistency. I collaborate cross-functionally to lead root cause analysis, develop SOPs, and support preventive maintenance initiatives that improve uptime and equipment reliability. Prior to this role, I served as a Quality Control Supervisor where I coordinated trials, managed inventory systems, and implemented quality monitoring procedures that laid the foundation for systematic improvement. My academic background includes advanced mechanical modeling, material characterization, and industry-focused R&D, with peer-reviewed publications in both engineered wood and materials engineering. I’m actively pursuing certifications in Six Sigma, Reliability, and Engineering (EIT), and am passionate about building efficient, resilient, and sustainable manufacturing systems.
