Responsible for taxonomy maintenance, data quality control, client support, and AI integration initiatives relating to Bloomberg’s proprietary entity (BICS) and fixed income (BCLASS) classification systems, covering 3+ million securities. Serving as lead analyst and liaison with product management for a major initiative to add flexibility to Bloomberg’s classification systems through the addition of LLM augmented multifaceted metadata tags on companies and business segments, enabling cross-sectional decomposition by 30+ additional dimensions (Product, End Market, Distribution Channel, etc). Served as co-lead for Data on the successful deployment of the revised NAICS 2022 hierarchy, drawing 1.7K mappings and coordinating with Engineering and Enterprise Data for a seamless cutover to new values across 4 million securities and 13 fields. Conceived idea, pitched to management, and led cross-functional project with the Supply Chain team that increased the sensitivity of BICS QC screens by 5.3X, using cluster analysis to identify a predictive relationship between our previously siloed datasets. Developed a statistical model for inter/intra-industry proximity, results of which were utilized in a major policy change, involving senior leadership, to reclassify all Financial Transaction Processors (Visa, Mastercard, etc) from the Tech to Financials sector.
