About Tony Mikla
Dr. Tony Mikla DPT MSPT, CSCS is a practicing physical therapist and performance coach focusing on human movement and utilizing exercise and manual therapy strategies to improve performance. His primary emphasis is on returning people from injury back to the game, and improving their performance along the way.Tony previously served as the Performance Physical Therapy Manager of EXOS, Arizona (formerly Athletes Performance). He focuses on returning elite athletes back to the game, US Military special operators back to the front lines, and works with companies to increase employee health and productivity.As an active member of the NSCA, he recently served as the Northern California State Director and advisory board member of the Southwest Region. He spoke at the National Conference in 2012 and most recently published “COMPARISON OF THREE BASEBALL-SPECIFIC 6-WEEK TRAINING PROGRAMS ON THROWING VELOCITY IN HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL PLAYERS”, in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, 2012. He speaks internationally on sports rehab and performance. He launched KIMEU as a platform to teach exercise progression and strategy to achieve higher movement competency and performance. Tony has served as a consultant and rehab specialist for several professional sports teams and college athletic programs. He traveled with USA Track and Field as personal medical for multiple athletes at the 2011 World Championships and 2012 Olympic games.Tony speaks at several Physical Therapy graduate programs including Northern Arizona University and Sacramento State University.
