ABOUT MIKE CHEN
I am currently an Associate Principal in the Growth Equity team at BDC Capital. My team helps entrepreneurs with mid-market businesses achieve real success in their growth or transition initiatives through minority equity investments. We have the flexibility, depending on the scale of your capital needs, to participate, lead or be your sole partner in an equity transaction. In my previous role at Macquarie, I managed principal credit and equity investments and performed derivative pricing and analysis for producer clients in the mining and metals sector. At PwC, I primarily worked on financial due diligence and business valuations across a wide range of industries for public and private companies, specializing in the mining and manufacturing sectors. I completed my Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) Degree at the University of British Columbia and my Graduate Diploma in Professional Accounting at the University of Toronto. I am a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA). In my free time, I enjoy long distance road running, trail running, hiking, playing team sports, being an avid fan of my favorite sports teams, and watching movies on opening night.
