ABOUT MICHAEL WEAVER
For the past fifteen years, I have been a vision-driven and compassionate leader in three college student development programs in the university setting. I\'ve led staff teams in the university and in a non-profit organization to offer formative programs and public events for holistic education and student development. Along the way, I\'ve built or improved structures to encourage, inspire, motivate, and care for young people in ways that bring out the best in themselves and help orient them to a life-long calling of service to others. I\'ve been privileged to partner with other committed higher education professionals in all aspects of student development.Before my journey into higher education, I served twenty years in the NOAA Corps, leading projects and operational missions in environmental monitoring and research, flying aircraft, and managing personnel and organizations. Acquired skills in leadership, budget planning and execution, and strategic planning. Led the daily operations of a large federal technical organization. Led and coordinated efforts in several major environmental and emergency response incidents.
