I am a Microsoft SQL Server database professional, with emphasis in database security analysis; data migration; and production and development support. I have worked on numerous projects, including: implementing enterprise-wide database security solutions; engineering and execution of a major database migration projects between versions of SQL Server; and implementing SQL Server 2012 and 2014 AlwaysOn High Availability across multiple domains. • Supported production Microsoft SQL Server installations throughout North America. • Installed, configured and maintained SQL Server 2012 AlwaysOn availability Groups, with databases over 1 TB in size. • Data cleansing and migration project from SQL Server to Oracle 9i. Migration times were improved by 30-50% while on this project. • Engineered several SQL Server upgrades, ensuring that data integrity was preserved, and existing data access methods and security measures were maintained or improved. • Participated in designing and executing a corporate-wide initiative to upgrade and patch over 500 databases and associated applications throughout the enterprise, resulting in widespread acceptance, no unplanned downtime or data loss, on time and under budget. • Created and implemented database maintenance and backup processes in all database environments, reducing data loss and corruption across the environment to zero. • Created and implemented database security policies across the company, altering non-DBA access rights from “sysadmin”-level security to appropriate levels. • Supported hundreds of application development projects throughout the development and implementation phases, taking opportunities to mentor and support application development staff in efficient database design and coding methods. • Proven technical and professional capabilities, with an outstanding work ethic • Demonstrated ability to work with others in a team environment • Excellent communication skills
