Media relations – Primary liaison between the men’s basketball and golf teams and national, regional and local media. Developed and maintained relationships with print and electronic media. Helped implement and execute media relations strategies and increase exposure in one of the nation’s largest media markets. • Writing – Daily production and distribution of news releases, biographical information on student-athletes and coaches, talking points, media game notes, occasional public address announcements. • Website/Social Media Management and Content Creation – Principal content planner, creator and management of official athletics website content related to my primary sports, assist in same areas for other sports and athletic department initiatives. Effectively navigated use of tools through multiple website re-designs and changes in content providers. • New Media – Effectively used in-house multi-media (video, photos, galleries, blogs, etc.) to promote sports, student-athletes and other athletic department efforts. • Publications – Edited, wrote and designed numerous publications, including media guides, game day programs and specialty publications. Experienced and proficient in Adobe InDesign. Served as editor-in-chief of athletic department quarterly magazine, Everyday Champions, since 2013, overseeing a major re-design of the print edition and launching current digital and multi-media version. • Graphic Design/Video/Photography – Able to create video and graphic design content with basic skills in Adobe Photoshop and basic video editing software. Skilled enough in photography to shoot events and sports with digital camera and iPhone. • Game/Event Management – Recruited and supervised game media operations teams in football and basketball for the entire length of career at Georgia Tech, and managed credentialing process for media in both sports. Assist in game day operations for other Tech sports. Served as local media coordinator for numerous NCAA men’s basketball, baseball and golf championship events. • Hall of Fame – Served as chair of Georgia Tech Sports Hall of Fame since directing selection committee of 15 members and helping plan and conduct annual induction dinner event. • Marketing/Promotions – Supported athletic department marketing, game day promotions and ticket sales efforts.
