As co-lead for the Stable Value Wrap business at New York Life, Michael’s core responsibilities are to develop and execute business strategy to grow a risk-appropriate block. As a co-lead, Michael is tasked with managing P&L and risk oversight for a large liability block. Some of the core functions Michael is responsible for includes Fixed Income due diligence, contract and investment guideline negotiations and risk management. In risk management, Michael works with internal constituents to proactively analyze and communicate asset and liability positions through proprietary infrastructure to produce dynamic reports. Other significant responsibilities include researching market trends on defined contribution plans, staying up to date on the latest federal and state regulations. Michael also has oversight of operations and development of financial models used to make key business decisions.Michael actively participates in industry trade groups such the Stable Value Investment Association and Life Insurance Marketing and Research Association.
