Providing program, strategic and research support to the FAA Future Facilities Engineering Team at the FAA Technical Center in Atlantic City, NJ and the FAA NextGen Facilities Special Program Management Office at FAA Headquarters in Washington, DC. This work centers around development of the Concept and Requirements Definition (CRD) products and Investment Analysis of the Acquisition Management System (AMS) process for all of the Nation’s new FAA NextGen facilities, including En Route, Terminal and Tower. It involves research into the program, technical and physical requirements of the NextGen operational concepts and capabilities, and their impacts on NextGen facilities. This includes, but is not limited to, the following NextGen capabilities: • Integrated Arrival/Departure Control Service (Big Airspace)• High Altitude Generic Airspace Operations• Staffed NextGen Towers• Flexible (or Dynamic) Airspace Management• Airspace Redesign• Flow-Based Trajectory Management (Multi Sector Planner)• Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS)• Commercial Space Transportation• Integrated Business Continuity Services (BCP)• Convergence• Trajectory Based Operations (TBO)Responsible for a continuous research and development gap analysis that tracks efforts necessary for the successful facilitation and implementation of the operational concepts within NextGen facilities. Responsible for the identification and coordination of necessary Human Factors analysis activities for NextGen Facilities, which also includes the technical and project coordination of the task to develop a virtual reality visualization of a proposed NextGen facility for analysis. Involved with program management, concept of use, concept of operations, risk management, and business continuity.
