Architected, designed and wrote solution integrating TestRail with Robot Framework automaton scripts via REST, Django, Python and Robot Framework. Automation scripts could be triggered in TestRail which initiated a request to a Django server which then pulled the test steps from the associated test in Test Rail, used those steps to create Robot Framework based test automation for both REST API’s and web based Selenium Python test scripts. Robot Framework scripts were then executed in a dynamically expanding Selenium grid running in Docker containers. Test execution recorded logs and videos of execution as appropriate. Robot Framework logs were associated to Test Rail test execution records with pass/fail information being integrated to the step level.Created for the Development team a Python based performance testing framework which attached to designated Swagger URL’s creating Python objects from the Swagger page JSON. The resultant objects were used by Python Locust to exercise performance tests to facilitate on the fly evaluation of code changes before commits, and to establish performance benchmarks in dev, test and production environments.
