About Mike Orth

I have had a very rewarding experience in my career of Management Consulting over the many years. I retired in 2016 and for three years dabbled in short-term consulting gigs and volunteering in a variety of ways. While similarly rewarding I still felt I had a lot more in my \"gas-tank\" and it was time to give back even more in the community. In May of 2019, an opportunity came my way to lead a charitable organization through some transitions that will ensure our long term ability to serve our communities. We have made great progress and are now better positioned for the future. The board, staff, volunteers and financial supporters, that make the magic happen for our Habitat families have made this encore career an eye-opening experience that shall forever color my world in hope. I have now moved on to the Board of Directors for two Habitat Affiliates, where I am leading the family support committee to enable our family partners with the skills necessary to be long term successful homeowners. I have also joined the Duluth YMCA Advisory Council and hope to contribute to the YMCA mission.
