About Mike Nakata
Culture Shock and the speed of the Technology out of High School I scavenged used micro computer parts for a lab and sold vacuum cleaners before living in England and getting my first taste of foreign culture shock going door to door as a missionary in Europe. Although half Japanese myself, I later understood what it felt to be a complete stranger while visiting a client in Tokyo. I was lucky enough to have traveled the outback of Australia as part of a network integration project which also took me to several countries in Europe a few years back. And yet I\'ve been on assignments to chemical plants that seemed more foreign then all the above! “It’s a small world” takes on new meaning as we are expected to work from anywhere and do anything remotely, virtually there even without our pricey TelePresence implementations. The future will pull even more technology expectations mainstream as we take on greater challenges to make commodities of today’s bleeding edge. I am excited to to be part of today\'s global technology revolution- and look forward to future opportunities in the next 20+ years!Summary of Professional Experience and ITIL ITSM Change Manager and planning role responsible for Network and Security Changes• Network Project Team Lead, and Sr. Network Consultant with 20 years of IT experience• Driven significant cost savings through standardization, increased service reliability, profitably leveraging vendor relationships in alignment with strategic business vision• Leading project team activities in a dynamic business environment supporting mergers & acquistions• Contributed to the realization of ~30 million in synergies through in sourcing all IT Services from 3rd party servicesSpecialties: Infrastructure Project Team Lead, Team MentorITIL ITSM Change Manager, Project ManagementNetwork Infrastructure; Sr. Network Engineer with Cisco focus Cisco LAN/WAN (primarily OSPF with limited BGP Support)Account Executive, Integration Specialist, Sales Engineer Support, Mergers & Acquisitions Network Infrastructure Support, IT OutSource and Separation, InSource and Integration, Vendor and Client Management
