Serve as a GS civil servant member of Marine Corps Tactics and Operations Group (MCTOG) Doctrine and Standardization Division. Marine Corps doctrine is the institutional vetting and compilation of fundamental principles including tactics, techniques, procedures (TTPs), and terms and symbols by which Marine Corps forces guide their actions through training, education, and operations. As a writer, conducts research, analysis, review, and development of GCE operations doctrine related to joint, multinational, and Marine Corps operations. MCTOG\'s lead author for amphibious defense and counterlanding. In addition, the lead author for the complete rewrite of MCWP 3-10 MAGTF Ground Operations which lays the foundation for all ground combat-oriented publications, but does not provide detailed tactics, techniques, and procedures for specific ground combat organizations. This rewrite incorporates the guidance contained in Force Design 2030 (FD 2030), peer competition, and the current operating environment. Also the lead author for the revision to MCWP 3-01 Offensive and Defensive Tactics which takes into account the Marine Corps\' lessons learned from service-level training exercises that are informed by FD 2030, peer competition, and the current operating environment. Lastly, served as the lead author for MCTP 3-10.A, Infantry Regiment Operations, which was an entirely new publication. The original infantry regiment publication, FMFM 6-2 was last written in 1978, post-Vietnam. This new publication reflects the complexities of the modern battlefield as informed by recent combat operations and stability activities in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, and elsewhere.
