About Mike Marti
I have dedicated most of my 38-year career to providing technology transfer, research, training, and developing education materials for city and county engineers. The combination of being a professional engineer (practitioner) and technology transfer specialist (teacher) has enabled me to work very closely with the public works community to understand their needs and culture to develop engaging, implementable, practical solutions. I have designed, developed and delivered hundreds of educational workshops, professional videos/DVDs, web-based tools, and best practices to engineering staff throughout the Midwest. In addition to my research work, I also focused much of my work on making roads safer. A major component of this has been helping develop county road safety plans for all counties in Minnesota and North Dakota.
