About Mike MacEwan
Ally and Helper. I work with non profits to refine and meet their missions through program development, grant development & management, coaching & professional development, and budget planning. When necessary, I am able to offer prescriptive strategies for change that build upon the assets of the staff and existing resources. My \"6 word challenge\" is Educational Equity and Access for all. It is the premise that I founded my business on. My work is guided by a simple question: “is it good for youth and communities”? If the answer is yes, I hustle to make that opportunity happen. I also write curriculum / activity guides and create larger programs that actively engage learners of all ages and abilities in the content. Highlights include: The Science of Sport & The Lenape in NJ (indigenous people/pre-colonialism).I strive to increase the quality and number of opportunities available to youth and communities, without regard to socio-economic status, ability or gender.I have extensive experience leading federally funded programs including 21st Century Community Learning Centers and TRIO programs (GEAR UP). I previously worked for NJSACC, which is New Jersey’s Mott-funded Afterschool Network. There, I provided technical assistance and professional development to the NJ Department of Education and its fifty-two 21st Century Community Learning Centers programs.
