ABOUT MIKELLE MOORE

Mikelle Moore is a national thought leader, moving US systems from thinking about healthcare to improving health, and how organizations must disrupt the status-quo to reduce costs and improve access for everyone. A passionate systems change-leader for the future of health in the United States, Mikelle deploys more than 25 years’ experience in health system provider and payer operations, population health, health equity, social determinants of health, impact investing, and ESG. Known for her ability to convey a vision that aligns cross-sector actors to create unlikely partnerships that solve big problems. Mikelle sees opportunities ‒- and has seized them ‒ to change the US health system from reactive to preventive and to align incentives that produce health and value for the people using and purchasing health care. Mikelle is an early pioneer in population health care models and gets results in top quality, equity and shared savings an ignites the use of anchor institutions assets to address social determinants of health such as housing, nutrition, education, and transportation. She championed the development of impact investing, hiring, and purchasing and sustainability, aligning with policy solutions to further elevate health equity discussions in collaboration with other health systems and non-health community anchors. By tackling progressively bigger, broader scopes of the problems facing population health and healthcare delivery, Mikelle leads others to reimagine the systems of US health. A hospital operator who excelled in building patient-centered care with physician partners and earned top ratings in the market for quality, market share growth, and patient and caregiver experience, Mikelle recognizes the gaps in the acute system for solving systemic and chronic health issues. Beyond strategy to on the ground implementation, Mikelle has led and does lead change initiatives that reduce mental health crises, suicide, opioid misuse and progress of diabetes and hypertension. Mikelle’s operational expertise, strong business development, and deep knowledge of population health are the primary factors behind her passion to drive results and create the change needed in health. She also brings visibility for the underserved into the board room, a continuous advocate for improving health and wellbeing of communities and minimizing the need for rescue care.
