ABOUT MIKELA LEHAN

As a recent graduate of the Sheridan College Honours Bachelor of Interior Design (HBID) program, I possess a unique blend of creativity and a keen understanding of how spaces can be transformed into functional and imaginative environments. With a strong command of industry-standard software, I bring design concepts to life with precision and artistry. My academic pursuits are complemented by my role as a junior designer at Alison Milne Co. Balancing my academic work with real-world design projects allows me to apply the skills I have developed in school while learning valuable new ones. From project managements to design execution, I am continually building a foundation that merges theory with practice, positioning me to deliver thoughtful, functional, and creative design solutions. I hold an undergraduate degree in Biology-Psychology from Queen\'s University, where I thrived both academically and athletically. As a dedicated student-athlete, I had the privilege of representing the Queen\'s Women\'s Rugby team, harnessing the same discipline and determination that drives my passion for design today. My academic journey laid the foundation for my multifaceted approach to problem-solving, blending the insights of biology and psychology to create innovative and holistic design solutions. Being a 2023 Finalist for the Staples Professional Corporate Design Award of Excellence has been a testament to my dedication and creativity in the field. It\'s a milestone that has fueled my desire to continue pushing boundaries and setting new standards in the world of interior design. I\'m particularly drawn to the residential, hospitality and corporate interior design sectors but open to exploring any domain where my creativity and skills can make a difference. I firmly believe that great design begins with a profound understanding of the client\'s needs, and my goal is to design spaces that are not just aesthetically pleasing but also inclusive and sustainable. Ultimately, my mission is enhancing the lives of those around me through innovative design solutions.
