Hi there! I’m Mike Soares, a highly curious and driven third-year commerce student at the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University. My passion for solving complex problems and collaborating with others began at Brookline High School, and it continues to shape my academic and professional journey. With a primary interest in consulting and entrepreneurship, I’m always eager to learn, grow, and make meaningful contributions to my communities. This summer, I had the incredible opportunity to join Modera Wealth Management as a financial planning intern. I loved applying my problem-solving skills to help clients achieve their financial goals through innovative and tailored solutions. In my role as a consultant with Strive Marketing Consulting, I honed my ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively, ensuring clients’ needs were met from ideation to execution. Now, as Managing Director of the club, I lead my team with a growth-focused, collaborative mindset, driving the club’s strategic vision forward while fostering a supportive environment. I am also pursuing a Certificate of Social Impact from Smith. Outside of my studies and work, some activities I’m passionate about are skiing, strength training, film, and staying informed on political and economic trends.
