Non-Exec Director of a leading sales and marketing recruitment company (Harbourne Associates). Mike is also Chairman of the trustees of The Friends of St Mildred’s Tenterden (FOSM). This secular charity raises funds to support the maintenance of the fabric of St Mildred’s church which was built in about 1150AD. Previously chairman of Tenterden Community Hub for 10 years. A charity formed to support local people in financial difficulties. For three years Mike worked as a Consultant specialising in contract strategy and development for private and public sector organisations and acted as client sponsor for the £5m redevelopment of One Great George Street, the HQ of the ICE in London. An experienced Director in the UK construction sector with a background in asset management, contract and safety leadership delivering high levels of customer satisfaction. Holds significant experience in working at Board level in joint ventures accountable for P&L of contracts with combined NSV of circa £200m pa. Led a number of successful bids for MAC and ASC highways contracts. Previously responsible for shaping policies and leading change in public sector transportation, construction, project and financial management with a national and international reputation for creativity, innovation, leadership, delivery and decision taking especially with difficult, politically sensitive, projects.
