As a Partner at Weaver, I perform valuations for estate planning, tax compliance, financial reporting, corporate planning, ESOPs, divorce and corporate disputes, and fairness/solvency opinions. With over 30 years of experience, I have performed equity valuations as well as appraisals of intangible assets in industries such as oil and gas, finance and banking, retail and wholesale distribution, restaurants, health care, waste management, construction and many other industries. In addition, I have testified as an expert witness for disputes involving valuation matters in federal and state courts.I am a CPA, Accredited in Business Valuations (ABV) by the AICPA, and a Fellow of the American Society of Appraisers (FASA), the highest honor bestowed by that society. He has served on the Board of Governors of the ASA and is a past chairman of the ASA’s Business Valuation Committee. I am also a past president of the ASA Houston Chapter and served on the planning committees of the 2005 and 2008 ASA/AICPA National Business Valuation Conferences. I am currently serving on the Board of the Houston Business and Estate Planning Council. I earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from the University of Texas at Austin.As of June 1, 2019, when HSSK merged into Weaver, I am a Partner with Weaver.
