With 23 years of hands-on experience in water treatment and utilities management, Mike has worked across Canada in diverse settings including municipal plants, isolated Arctic stations, oil and gas camps, and correctional institutions. He understands how to keep essential services running safely, efficiently, and within regulatory compliance.Through BIDS Advantage, a venture co-founded by Mike, he helps clients identify and win federal government contracts. The BIDS platform combines expert support with machine learning and historical contract data to deliver insights, opportunity forecasts, compliance checklists, and tailored proposal content. It is designed to support small and medium enterprises, Indigenous-owned businesses, and niche contractors who want to bid more confidently, avoid common mistakes, and improve their win rates.Mike is also a co-founder of Bravo Zulu, a Canadian firm registered and operating in Ukraine. Bravo Zulu is preparing to support post-conflict reconstruction with a focus on integrated operations including water treatment, logistics, and infrastructure support. The company draws on Mike’s international project experience in Afghanistan, Haiti, Chile, and the Gulf region, where he has helped stabilize operations and deliver services under pressure.Mike also contributes to international development efforts, having supported a water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) survey across 25 schools in Ethiopia and delivered training to operators in Kenya.
