ABOUT MICHAEL DULBERG
Since 1984, my practice has concentrated on construction law - helping businesses and individuals resolve disputes that typically arise out of construction projects. I\'ve represented the entire gamut within the industry, from owners to design professionals, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers. My practice focuses on construction related transactional work - preparing construction contracts for clients because fair contracts can reduce the risk of litigation; and because some disputes can\'t be resolved I also focus on construction litigation and have extensive experience litigating and arbitrating a wide range of construction issues. I obtained a jury verdict of more than $3 million in a business tort case arising out of a street improvement project, and defended numerous multi-million dollar construction claims. I\'ve also handled administrative proceedings under the Arizona Procurement Code and complaints before the Registrar of Contractors. I\'ve successfully defended multi million dollar claims against a pipe manufacturer and against an international engineering firm. I\'ve also drafted and negotiated construction contracts for projects of all sizes and emphasize to clients the importance of getting lawyers involved early in the contracting process. Before moving to Arizona in 1984, I was an Asst.D.A. in the Manhattan D.A.\'s Office from 19••••84, and tried more than 40 felony cases. From I was with a small, boutique firm that focused on construction law. In I joined Burch & Cracchiolo as a shareholder. I\'ve been listed in The Best Lawyers in America for Construction Law and Litigation in 20••••23 editions. I was inducted as a Charter Fellow in the Construction Lawyers Society of America, an invitation only construction lawyer honorary society with limited membership. I am also a member of the Trial Law Institute and the Diversity Law Institute. I am AV rated by Martindale Hubbell, its highest rating for legal ability and ethical standards. I was also named to the 2014 Top Lawyers List for Construction Litigation by AZ Business Magazine. I\'ve lectured to the State Bar of Arizona and numerous construction industry groups on a variety of construction law issues. I am admitted to practice in New York (1979), Arizona (1984), the U.S. District Court for District of Arizona (1984), the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit (1997), and the U.S. Supreme Court (2008).
