Earlier this year, I was asked by the Dean of the Faculty to design, implement and teach a new \"skills\" course for 2nd and 3rd year students to develop advocacy and negotiating abilities in the various forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution, including in particular mediation and arbitration. The course is entitled \"Negotiating Skills in Alternative Dispute Resolution\" and utilizes a number of texts and other sources, and features significant \"hands-on\" learning through simulation of various civil dispute scenarios.
