Saskatoon, SK, CA

We are building a mine in North Saskatchewan Canada. My role includes developing maintenance management procedures and work instructions, such as the asset maintenance plan, work management, and asset master data administration. Additionally, I develop the PM plan using OEM documents, my experience, experts\' advice, and consulting with equipment manufacturers. Then, I define the required spare parts, manpower, and tools for all equipment. As another role, I prepare the spare part list and quantity to be stored and communicate it with procurement. Entering the master data, PM, and spare parts data in the CMMS is another part of my job; I help and support people to run this PM and corrective maintenance in the CMMS.

ABOUT MIKE MALEKI

I believe a machine\'s reliability starts long before a wrench hits a bolt — it starts at the planning table. With 18 years in maintenance planning across the petrochemical, oil & gas, and mining industries, I\'ve seen how a well-planned job cuts downtime, reduces costs, and — most critically — keeps people safe. Working in HSE-driven environments taught me that reliability and safety are not trade-offs; they are the same goal.My technical foundation comes from 14 years at two large petrochemical facilities: 8 years at Arya Sasol Polymer Company and 6 years at Mehr Petrochemical, where I managed maintenance planning for mechanical, electrical, and instrument equipment. Later, I\'ve expanded into production scheduling at Prairie Machine and currently work as a maintenance planner at Denison Mines for thelast year.I tought Operations Management as a sessional lecturer at the University of Saskatchewan for one year while workibg full time in industry — because I believe sharing knowledge makes the whole industry stronger.
