About Michael Blackburn
I have recently graduated from an intensive C#.NET, Full-Stack Software Development Boot Camp through Grand Circus. This was an intentional pivot from my career as a senior mortgage underwriter and later a property manager at Beztak.During my time as Senior Underwriter at UWM, I realized I could learn anything and really evolved as a person, but began to wish for a change. I had been doing self-taught coding for some time and decided to make the switch. I took advantage of many opportunities there to help facilitate a clean transition including shadowing the IT department, completing an intensive emergent leadership program, and researching opportunities to help further my dreams.I left UWM to expand my knowledge as a capable leader and gain the skills I need to one day own and manage my own rental properties while continuing my self-taught coding in a more diligent aspect. To that end, I joined Manager-In-Training program at Beztak. While in the program I enrolled in a boot camp at Grand Circus. In my boot camp, we are currently learning and apply:C#|| ASP.NET Core || SQL Server || HTML || Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)|| Javascript || Typescript || Bootstrap || Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)|| Angular || JSON || Entity Framework (EF) Core and MVC || Git || Github || ASP.NET Web API ||.NET Framework || TDD || Azure || Agile ||My ideal role as a developer would be with a company that works with one of my passions: language learning and acquisition, real estate, helping displaced individuals at home and abroad, or works with the broader media landscape. Since completing boot camp, I have stated as a Teaching Assistant for a C#.NET Bootcamp at Grand Circus where I\'m currently helping shape the minds of young developers.When I\'m not coding you can find me traveling, studying foreign languages, spending time with my cats, or poorly singing karaoke.
