Mike Avena is the Founder & CEO of Halloway (formerly Lunatrain), a private, early-stage luxury rail company specializing in curated, immersive train travel experiences in North America.Previously, he served as Head of IT at Ori Biotech, where scaled the company’s technology function from supporting less than 50 employees to commercial launch of an innovative cell therapy manufacturing platform.Prior to Ori Biotech, Mike worked at Tmunity Therapeutics, a venture-backed cell therapy developer focused on curing solid tumors. At Tmunity, Mike led the IT portfolio for all G&A functions and worked closely with C-suite executives to support rapid business growth. Mike ultimately led the spin-off of Tmunity’s corporate technology assets when its manufacturing operations were acquired by Resilience.Mike earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems and a Minor in Entrepreneurship from Drexel University. He was recently recognized as one of Drexel’s 40 Under 40 for his leadership in several early-stage companies.
