Before all else, I\'m a proud and doting father & spouse working hard to create and maintain a healthy and loving home, currently in Toronto\'s east end.Professionally, I am a Principal with Boyden Ontario\'s Social Impact Practice. Working with a brilliant team, I connect our most important social impact organizations & institutions with leaders who care. I specialize in post-secondary education, Board governance, health & health research, social/community services, and working with organizations that care deeply about equity and justice. I do my best to show up with empathy and joy, at every stage, with our clients, candidates, and team. In a past life, I channeled my passion to create kinder, equitable, and inclusive organizations and structures into The Empathy Institute, a private consultancy that gave me the opportunity to work with partners and collaborators across sectors and jurisdictions on educational programming, strategic planning, and other leadership & employee development services. I proudly hold a BAH and an MA in Gender Studies from Queen’s University, where I served as University Rector (3rd office of the university and a member of the Board of Trustees) from 2014-16. In 2017, I was honoured with both the Queen’s University Alumni Association’s Outstanding Student Award and the Agnes Benidickson Tricolour Award for service and leadership contributions.
