QE Facilities is part of the Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust Group, and so profits made are re-invested in the NHS.I have Over 35 years\' experience of working with the NHS. I\'ve worked both in the NHS within Finance and Internal Audit, and for the NHS as an External Auditor and as a VAT specialist for over 28 years including working for two of the Big 4 Accountancy firms KPMG & Deloitte, and as well as for Liaison VAT Consultancy Ltd. I advise NHS bodies on their VAT compliance for revenue and capital expenditure, output tax and partial exemption liabilities, overseas transactions, charitable funds, HMRC assessments, restructuring procurement contracts to be VAT efficient, establishing commercial subsidiary companies to deliver non-clinical healthcare services and provide bespoke NHS VAT training.I have a proven track record in managing and co-ordinating the delivery of services to NHS bodies resulting in improved VAT recovery, efficiency, governance and cost savings.I was also the Independent Sector Lead on the Executive Committee of the North West HFMA which provided me with a deeper insight into NHS topical issues. I have arranged and presented seminars to HFMA members on matters such as HMRC\'s \'VAT Penalties Regime\'​.
