Lead Piping Engineer for Worley Parsons PMC of Egyptian Refining Company Project. A 3.7 Billion Dollar Project consisting of Vacuum Distillation Unit, Hydrocracker, Delayed Coker, Diesel Hydrotreater, Naphtha Hydrotreater, Low Pressure Naphtha Reformer, Amine Treating Units, Sulphur Recovery Units and Waste Water Treatment Unit. Conduct engineering checks, audits and opinions, consistent with the PMC contractual obligations and liabilities, as set out in the Project Execution Plan or other PMC procedures. Ensure that the discipline group work schedule is defined, maintained and included, through the PMC Engineering Manager, in the overall project schedule. Direct the activities of the Support Engineers such that planned actives for the discipline are performed in timely manner and with high quality. Review engineering specifications, procedures, codes and standards to ensure they achieve ERC aims without putting excessive requirements that will result in cost and schedule escalation. Attend and participate in design reviews, model reviews and safety audits. Ensure action items are closed and decision included into design deliverables. Review engineering work to verify that it is developed in accordance with the contractual documents and EPC Contractor’s project execution proposal as accepted by ERC. Assist the PMC Engineering Manager in ensuring scope definition for the discipline and communications with the EPC Contractor are clear and in line with the contracted scope in order to minimize opportunities for claims or variation requests by the EPC Contractor.
