Built efficient AWS lambda functions using Node.js to fetch, validate (using Zod) and handle listings data from external providers API\'s into a format suitable for our own external API. Removing need for external providers to manually update their listings- Refactored slow and wrote new, optimised SQL queries, while migrating non relational data to DynamoDB to reduce load on our MySQL database and improve site performance as we scale to more users- Improved our property search algorithm to display properties better matched to what customers are looking for while also distributing views in a way that better aligns with the business needs- Built easy to use Internal tooling / dashboards to help our customer success team better serve our clients- Consistently adding clear logging / monitoring using Sentry and Datadog and both Unit / Integration testing (Jest, Codeception) to completed work to prevent regression and increase the visibility of errors- Worked in an AGILE/SCRUM environment with established CI/CD pipelines, ensuring code is thoroughly tested, reviewed, and seamlessly deployed to production- Involved in maintaining a good company culture as chair of our social committee.

I’m a Full Stack Software Engineer at StuRents, where I build scalable REST APIs and intuitive user interfaces using technologies such as Node.js, React, Redux, Jest, Tailwind CSS, PHP, AWS Lambda, MySQL, and DynamoDB.Working in an AGILE environment gives me the opportunity to continuously learn, experiment, and solve complex problems.
