Mike West is a highly accomplished senior executive who brings a combination of financial and operational experience to his work as strategic advisor serving complex healthcare services and healthcare technology organizations. The founder and principal of West Strategies Group LLC, a firm serving healthcare systems, service & technology organizations focused on the provision of musculoskeletal care, Mike has a keen understanding of the ways in which technology innovation intersects with healthcare strategy to improve patient outcomes. As CEO of The Rothman Institute, he worked closely with physician shareholders and board of directors as the driving force leading strategic expansion from a single office with seven physicians to one of the largest private medical practices in the country. During his tenure leading all financial and operational aspects of the now 200+ provider, 40+ location, 1400 employee practice, notable accomplishments include: • Accelerated growth and new market share across five regional territories in in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Central Florida. • Led growth from $12M net revenue in to over $600M in 2020 through strategic alliance negotiations, corporate restructuring and physician recruitment. • Spearheaded effective development and management of multiple Orthopaedic Specialty Services, Ancillary Services, Financial Reporting, Marketing, Call Center Operations, Clinical Research, Performance Measurement, Technology Initiatives and Start-Up Companies. • Cultivated multiple joint ventures with health systems, technology companies, real estate ventures & other healthcare service organizations. • Initiated, developed & implemented multiple novel edge value-based care strategies. Mike holds an MBA from the University of St. Thomas and a BBA from James Madison University where he graduated with honors. He is recognized for his thought leadership as a healthcare strategy and financial health author, presenter and sits on the board of numerous progressive healthcare service and technology organizations including Parvizi Surgical Innovation and Efferent Health.
