I am currently serving my fifth term as the elected City Attorney for Redondo Beach. As the city’s general counsel, I represent and advise the mayor, city council, and all city officers on all matters of law pertaining to the respective offices/duties which includes ensuring compliance with federal and state laws and regulations. My role includes acting as the chief prosecutor for the cities of Redondo Beach and Hermosa Beach with jurisdiction to prosecute all misdemeanor criminal offenses including violations of state law as well as the municipal code. In addition, I am also serving my fifth term as president of the Los Angeles County Prosecutors Association. Most recently, I helped create the first outdoor Homeless Court in Los Angeles County which has led to a 60% reduction in the number of unhoused persons in Redondo Beach. This program won the prestigious League of California Cities Helen Putnam Award.
