As an EDS Quality Manager, I bridge the domains of quality, verification, and validation. I define and drive the vision, goals, and strategies for QA and V&V initiatives across the Domain. Establishing best practices, frameworks, and standards for quality processes is key to my role.I lead and mentor a team of QA and V&V professionals, fostering continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. Identifying skill gaps and overseeing training programmes are essential to my team\'s development.Ensuring processes for verification, validation, and quality align with industry standards and regulatory requirements is crucial. I oversee the development and execution of comprehensive testing, validation, and QA protocols.Collaboration is vital; I work closely with engineering, design, and operational teams to integrate quality throughout the product lifecycle. Advocating for QA and validation principles during product design and development is significant.Risk management is another important responsibility. I identify potential risks related to quality and validation early in projects, develop risk mitigation plans, and monitor the effectiveness of solutions.Defining key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of QA and validation efforts is routine. I regularly report on the chapter’s contributions, issues, and overall impact to stakeholders.Compliance with regulations, certifications, and industry standards is non-negotiable. I oversee audits and assessments related to quality and validation processes to ensure adherence.Innovation is at the heart of my approach. I research and introduce modern tools, methodologies, and technologies to enhance QA and validation efforts, staying updated on industry trends and adapting strategies accordingly.This role combines my technical expertise, leadership abilities, and strategic thinking to maintain high-quality standards and drive right-first-time policies.
