About Mike Wallace

Michael is the Vice President of Growth and Strategy for Optum Arizona and New Mexico. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the New Mexico Philharmonic, on the Advisory Board for the UNM School of Public Administration, and is the Board Chair for Albuquerque Healthcare for the Homeless. Michael has previously sat on a number of other boards and committees, including Solare Collegiate Charter School, the NM Chamber of Commerce, SARANAM, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central NM, the Office of the Superintendent Advisory Committee, and the Civic Advisory Council for the NM Public Education Department. He is a past President and Legislative Chairman of the New Mexico Association of Health Underwriters and past Chairman of the Insurance Stakeholders Group for the New Mexico Office of Health Care Reform. Michael received his Bachelor’s degree from the Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism at the University of Southern California with an emphasis in Interpersonal and Organizational Communication. He received his Master of Health Administration at the University of New Mexico. He is a Leadership New Mexico graduate.
