Develop a work environment and teams that are safe, inclusive and diverse.• Adherence to safety policies and safe work practices by the Manager and his team is of critical importance and must be achieved.• Manage departments and functional areas of the site as assigned, which would normally include: Tooling, Process, Automation, Engineering and Development personnel for the site.• Manage successful mold/automation builds, refurbishments and repairs to be accurate, reliable and on-time. This includes maintaining adequate supplies and spares as required by the customer.• Develop a strong technical team, robust molds-processes-automation, successfully launch new programs and drive improvements on existing programs in production.• Communicate any repair/refurbishment costs that should be passed through to the customer effectively to Account Management Team to maximize the passing through of these costs to customers on customer owned assets.• Develop standard procedure for mold and automation builds/development and methods to hold vendors to this procedure.• Collaborate with Global Directors of Operations on all technical aspects for the site.• Oversee effective communication of Tool, Process and Automation development to Customers and Vendors.• Develop the skill levels of direct reports (including dotted lines), assessing their strengths and weaknesses and creating individualized training plans, coordinating with the site HR/Training departments where needed, to insure the continued development of the technical team.• Keep site technical group on top of cutting-edge technology through training and other resources.• Review site projects feasibility and lead/contribute on quoting/applications as needed.• Promotes site continuous improvement efforts related to tooling, process and automation.• Integrate technical lessons learned into new programs.• Support/Direct any capital investment activities for new programs and facility expansion.
