The Deputy Director-General (DD-G), Organisation Support is accountable for developing and maintaining excellent people, financial, asset management, security and information systems and services. It is also responsible for ensuring that DOC has a strong health, safety and wellbeing culture that is keeping all of our staff and visitors safe. The role encompasses:• Developing DOC’s culture and behaviours and lifting leadership capability. Leading our Human Resources function within the department• DOC’s approach to Health, Safety, Wellbeing and Security functions that continues to build and mature DOC’s approach• Leading DOC’s Information Systems and Services.(This includes responsibility for successfully embedding new systems and ensuring a customer-centric approach that meets the organisation’s needs.)• Leading DOC’s financial and asset management • Leading Business Services and Planning Services, determining how to prioritise resources and design the right support• Leading a step-change in DOC’s approach to programme management • Leading DOC’s Strategy development and implementation• Producing published accountability documents (such as Annual Reports and Statements of Intent) • Delegated responsibility as the Chief Information Security Officer, charged with establishing an Information Security Advice Network
