ABOUT MIKE TAPLEY
I am a neuromodulation specialist with over 17 years of experience advancing Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) therapy across academic and regional healthcare systems.My work focuses on developing implant programs, supporting neurosurgical and neurology teams, and helping institutions integrate complex neuromodulation technologies into clinical practice. Over the course of my career, I have supported the expansion of DBS therapy across a multi-state territory, contributing to growth from $700K to over $4.6M annually while assisting multiple centers in establishing and strengthening their implant programs.I have been selected for Medtronic leadership initiatives including the Sales Leadership Academy and High Potential Leadership programs, and I regularly collaborate with physicians, hospital leadership, and internal partners to advance therapy adoption and clinical workflows.My long-term focus is contributing at a broader level to neuromodulation strategy, clinical education, and therapy development to expand patient access and improve institutional capability.
