Ever had the product you built a business around been deemed, unexpectedly in a single day, illegal to operate?That happened to me and the company I led at the time. It is one of many times of adversity that taught me how to design more creative, diverse, and resilient business strategies. In my current role as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Strategy Officer at OASYS, INC, my customers are our employee-owners. If our leadership team doesn\'t ensure the growth, efficiency, and stability of the business they depend on, they can\'t provide all they do to the families, friends, and end-customers that depend on them. That is servant leadership to me, and I aspire daily to approach everything I do from that perspective. Blending technical and business acumen that realizes growth and value - whether in everyday execution, merger/acquisition analysis, or long-term strategy development - is what I have proven successful at and love to do.I\'ve also realized over the years that my career and non-career interests complement each other. For example, I am an instrument rated private pilot and diver - two interests that are heavily integrated with cost-benefit analysis, risk management, attention to detail, and multi-variable decision making. I am also passionate about serving in my community and currently lead a men\'s bible study in my home and serve on the board of Westminster Christian Academy where I also teach a High School engineering class part time. I lead the students through a curriculum that prepares them to take their FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot (e.g. drone) licensure exam while also completing projects in six core engineering disciplines to help them better understand what goals they will set for themselves in college.I always enjoy making new professional connections to exchange lessons learned and innovative approaches in business and in life.
