As vice president of Clark Nexsen’s Public Safety practice, I put my more than 20 years of experience designing and operating firing ranges to work for our clients. A range owner myself, I have both the first-hand and professional experience to help clients develop safe and effective rifle, pistol, and tactical firing ranges. In addition to firing range design, I have developed a full curriculum of firearms and related use-of-force courses for law enforcement, the military, and responsible citizens.Over the course of my career, I have worked with law enforcement agencies, elite forces including the FBI and Secret Service, the military, and private organizations. My role has involved guiding the program development and design for numerous ranges serving law enforcement officers’ firearms and tactical training, course development, lesson plans, teaching techniques, weapon and ammunition testing and evaluation, in-service programs, and special operations.I am passionate about firearms and firearm safety. I enjoy participating as a competitive shooter in IDPA/IPSC/GSSF shoots, including 3-gun disciplines and shooting in the Bianchi Cup. I also own and operate Range Masters of Utah, an indoor 16-position shooting range, and am a certified Concealed Firearm Instructor for the Utah Department of Public Safety.
