WORK HISTORY
Reporter @Plain Dealer Publishing Co.
I\'ve been a general assignment reporter at the Plain Dealer in Cleveland sine 1989. Check out the newspaper\'s online site at Most of my stuff is under NEWS, METRO.I also write comic books and graphic novels including the very real-life adventures of a newspaper reporter who can turn invisible: PHANTOM JACK. The new book: PHANTOM JACK: THE NOWHERE MAN AGENDA was released in August, 2010, by IDW.TALES OF THE STARLIGHT DRIVE-IN, my 2008 release from Image Comics, is an award-winning 250-page graphic novel about the rise and fall (and rise?) of a fictional drive-in theater. 31 stories, 23 artists, one writer spin stories of love, adventure, politics, crime, comedy and even a western, all centering on the august drive-in theater institution. It was voted the BEST GRAPHIC NOVEL OF THE YEAR in the 2009 COMICS BUYER\'S GUIDE fan awards. At the request of a company in Great Britain, I turned the work into a stage play! I can\'t wait to see it performed.Check out: Hollywood, is (allegedly) sniffing around Starlight and Phantom Jack.Lastly, for the fifth year, I\'m teaching a course in comic books at Case Western Reserve University in 2011.
