Independent secretariat for SMS Protection Registry - with remit to lead the industry wide initiative to reduce the impact and consumer harm of smishing & spoofing by SMS. Working on behalf of key government agencies, NCSC, major banking groups & retail brands in conjunction with mobile networks & SMS aggregators to stamp out fraud and protect merchant brands. Current focus to support and protect messaging channels used by Government/NHS to communicate with UK population regarding Corona virus. Project Director with responsibility for driving industry initiatives and programmes through collaboration with MEF membership – with primary focus on driving best practice in messaging services. Working closely with MNO’s, aggregators, merchants & regulators on initiatives to protect consumers by eliminating attempted fraud within messaging services – particularly within Banking and Government services.Industry expert with over 35 years experience in product development & management of products and services in Mobile/Telecoms environments – with specific focus on Messaging and Mobile Payments.Focused on the development of policy, operation and policing of compliance regimes for Payment Services used in Mobile Billing & M-Commerce applications operated through 3rd party Aggregator Channels.
