Responsible for ensuring DTE Gas meets state and federal code and regulations including 49 CFR Part 192 and the Michigan Gas Safety Standards, including managing and updating all DTE Gas procedures and standards. Codes & Standards is the liaison between the MPSC / PHMSA and the work that is completed to meet the required regulations. This position includes the codes engineers who are subject matter experts and provide guidance on all pipeline safety/compliance issues related to construction, maintenance, welding, etc. Gas Laboratory Services provides both the analysis of gas samples, as well as the metallurgical analysis of new and existing materials, and oversees the creation and approval of material standards.
