Maintains all day-to-day operations of general accounting and subsidiary ledgers, month-end, year-end closing, Account Payables (A/P), Account Receivables (A/R), Collection, Cash disbursement, Identifying fixed asset purchases, calculates depreciation/amortization, inventory, inventory analysis, assist with budget process, monitor operating results and update forecasts, Balance Sheet and General Ledger Reconciliations, Payroll, Processing of paychecks, Preparation of financial statement, and month end closing journal entries for various Million-Dollars companies including Securities Broker Dealers.• SEC & FINRA filing such as FOCUS, SSOI, SIS, Schedule I, Net capital computation, FINOP services and assist with ensuring compliance with NFA/CFTC, FINRA and SEC Rule 15c3-1 requirements.• Performed complex and heavy reconciliation projects on the accounting items such as (Brokerage Revenue accounts, Loans, Billing, Inventory, Fixed Assets and Commissions reports). • Supervise accounting employees and oversee daily operations of the accounting department. Ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP, SEC, FINRA rules and internal controls over financial reporting.• Coordinate audit activities with internal and external auditors for preparation of year end audits • Providing analytical support to management team across the company to drive improvements. • Able to apply problem solving skills, meet the deadlines, handle high pressure situations, organized & enthusiastic, and maximize efficiency while minimizing costs. • Preparation of Tax Returns for individuals and businesses, review/assist with the filing business licenses, payroll returns, property taxes, sales and use tax.• Work closely with organizations and operations teams on accounting treatment. Provides work direction and guidance including coaching, professional development, and training for the team.
