SRS is a social enterprise whose purpose is to make a positive change to the communities in which it operates. SRS has work training programs to help offenders learn effective job skills. SRS works with its partners to help eliminate the reliance on Single Use Plastics and to produce sustainable and environmentally-friendly replacement ink and toner cartridges as a vehicle to help prepare offenders for future re-entry success. Since 2006, it has operated prison programs in various US States, the UK, and Spain. The current flagship operation is with Virginia Correctional Enterprises (VCE). Since 2015, and together with SRS, VCE has built and shipped hundreds of thousands of printer cartridges and employed over 250 offenders. In that time, the program has generated over $15 Million in Revenue and delivered Gross Margins in excess of 47%. Additionally, the State Government has recorded cost savings in excess of $7M through the use of VCE’s cartridges.
