ABOUT MIKE POULIOT

In the last 10 years, I have gained tremendous skill working with tight deadlines and high expectations with great results, alternating between client and start-up work. For one, analyzing, developing, and integrating custom web solutions into various companies; for two, living incredibly fruitful experiences in various start-ups as a co-founder, lead developer in Montreal and The Valley. Proficient in analyzing complex needs out of any client, comfortable taking on great responsibilities while guaranteeing delivery over expectations, but rooted in the startup world; I have been involved in team and product management, recruiting, planning, designing, marketing, branding, testing, and releasing a lot and many products in broadly expanding verticals. I have been using mainly Javascript and PHP, constantly delivering high-quality products to meet top industry needs, for close to a decade. I have work with many frameworks, most notably Backbone/Marionette, Angular, React, and Node, on the javascript side. And Silex, Symfony, Zend Framework, Laravel, CakePHP, and CodeIgniter on the PHP side. Definitely a polyglot, I\'m comfortable in many other languages and paradigms: Ruby, Python, C, and Clojure, to name a few; C++, Java, Haskell, Scheme, Scala, Perl, Ocaml (Reason), etc, to name many. I am very familiar with the theory and practice of Object-Oriented Programming. Fluent writing efficient solutions to solve real-world industry problems, I\'ve come to use a functional approach, trying and keeping incidental complexity at its lowest. Through my passion and career, I\'ve tried growing a simple comprehension of the underpinnings of programming and apply these insights into my daily profession and artistry. With my experience as a consultant, tech lead, and startup founder, I will bring dynamism, dedication, leadership, and a goal of making everything better and positively influencing everyone, being of great value in your dynamic and evolving environment.
