About Mike Pobiecke

Michael is a former communication student at UW Oshkosh in May of 2021. He is talented and innovative with an incredible drive to better himself. He values being a strong-minded, creative leader and strives to exceed expectations in everything he does. Initially, Michael was originally a business major but enrolled in interpersonal communication as a general education course and found it to be extremely interesting and enjoyable; a communication major was born. Michael was a multiple semester honor roll recipient. Being a communication major, Michael is confident in his ability to take initiative and lead groups to accomplish a goal through teamwork and effective communication. He has worked in retail as well as the restaurant business since freshman year of high school and believes this has molded his ability to communicate at a high frequency of effectiveness with a wide variety of audiences. In college, he has had the opportunity to take advantage of the work-study program by working as a clerical assistant for the UW Oshkosh counseling center. It was here that he learned the importance of confidentiality as well as how to speak to people in a state of distress. Overall, Michael brings to the table his versatility and his ability to lead with effective communication.
