About Mike Pitorak
I am a Staff Manufacturing Engineer at Tesla\'s Gigafactory Nevada. I work on Tesla\'s Global Battery Manufacturing Engineering Team. Through my time at Tesla I\'ve worked on a variety of projects to help forward Tesla\'s mission to accelerate the world\'s transition to sustainable energy. These have included equipment and fixture design, ownership and integration of new manufacturing lines, engineering management of equipment development throughout Tesla\'s facilities worldwide, and a great deal of creative engineering problem solving. Before Tesla I received a double major in Manufacturing and Design Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University and developed my hands-on fabrication skills by working as a Machine Shop Trainer at the Segal Design Institute. Additionally throughout High School and College I ran a successful business distributing content for the video game Minecraft, earning upwards of 20 million downloads for my cosmetic game upgrades and builds which showcased modern architecture.
