My interests have always involved horses and my Native American heritage. Most of my family have been involved in the fishing industry in Washington state and my sister is one of the cultural leaders of our tribe (Makah). However, I became interested in horses and horse racing at a young age and that interest spurred me on to become a veterinarian.
