About Mike McQuilliams

As I venture forth in life seeking new challenges and opportunities for personal growth and development, I intend on maintaining my integrity, respect, and focus for success for myself and all parties on my team. I am a firm believer in Agile project management and Lean construction methods. I look for the same aspects in every company for which I work. I may work whistle‐to-whistle putting in intense goal orientated effort, but I also think in both the immediate performance with actionable results and long term, big picture, systemic results. I strive for a position and partnerships with teams and companies with a similar mindset. I have prior experience in a multitude of roles from being an integral part of putting actual work in place in the field to leading efforts on risk assessment, value management, Target Value Delivery. I have positive and successful experiences as a bid team captain on Hard Bid pursuits and as a lead estimator on Design-Build pursuits. I have experience as part of the CM team, in evaluating contractor proposals and systematically identifying and resolving significant outliers in cost and scope to achieve reconciled progress. I have enjoyed Leadership Training courses, and have a constant interest for more. The results of this effort allowed me to properly define the attributes and methods for effective leadership in order to understand how to support current and future leaders as well as provide support as needed to my teams, and apply a bit of it myself along the way. I have acquired my Scrum Master certification. The results of this effort allowed me to support and promote Agile project management methods with small teams for complex projects and products. I achieved Certified Professional Estimator credentials and appreciate the challenge provided by ASPE.
