Awards Committee and Nomination/Selection Activities:• Manages approximately half of the current number of award selection committees for the approximately 60 awards (Medals, Technical Field Awards, and Recognitions). These committees are responsible for recommending recipients for the highest awards in the awards portfolio. These awards are presented by the President or designee on behalf of the Board of Directors. Each of the selection committees meets three times annually via teleconference (over 80 meetings in total).• Leads activities of one standing committee of the Awards Board. Co-leads activities of the Medals; Recognitions; and Technical Field Awards Councils. Create presentations and reports for the Board and Committee.• Ensures that Awards program procedures and evaluation processes are carried out in a fair and equitable manner.• Collaborates with selection committees to seek appropriate candidates and confirm that nominations and endorsements are timely to move nominations forward.• Interfaces with Award selection committee chairs to craft agendas, and to create and review agenda items.• Authors meeting minutes/reports for awards selection committees• Pursues opportunities to promote the Awards program.• Communicates to the awards webmaster any recommended enhancements or required modifications to award committee web pages.• Provides timely and accurate responses to volunteers, nominators, endorsers, and staff on awards matters that are compliant with Bylaws, Policies, and the Awards Board Operations Manual.• Collaborates with the awards team, the members of the Awards Board, its Committees, and organizational units to achieve the goals of the and the Awards Program.Other Awards Duties:• Assists the Senior Manager, Awards Activities, with Awards Board and standing committee activities.• Promotes the Awards Program while attending select Technical Field Awards presentations.
